South East
Cornerstone Public School Division is seeking an Instructional Coach - Elementary Curriculum. This position will be serving all schools in SECPSD and will
report to the Coordinator of Early Learning.
Term:
1.0 FTE Continuing with coaching duties commencing at the beginning of the
2026-2027 school year for a two (2) year term.
Specific Accountabilities (non-exhaustive):
- Ensure the actualization of
Saskatchewan’s core curriculum through coaching and collaborating with
relevant personnel.
- Provide instructional support
for first and second year teachers in SECPSD.
- Provide support for
implementation of K-3 reading screeners and literacy practices.
- Support schools in reviewing
data and responding to the needs of students.
- Provide support for the
actualization of school improvement plans.
- Support teachers in
setting and actualizing goals to improve student learning.
- Provide curriculum, planning,
instructional, and assessment support to all teachers.
- Assist in assessing needs and
planning professional development for teachers and schools.
- Conduct oneself in a manner
appropriate to an educational institution that provides services to
children.
- Engage in lifelong learning with
respect to training, professional development and courses of study.
- Uphold and support Board goals,
policies, and administrative procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned
by the Coordinator of Early Learning.
Typically, these skills will be achieved through having:
- Valid driver's license.
- Bachelor of Education degree
with at least five years of teaching experience.
- Valid Saskatchewan Professional
"A" teaching certificate.
- Possess a strong knowledge of
current educational trends and best practices, and a proven track record
of success as an elementary educator.
- Possess a strong knowledge of
and ability to differentiate the learning environment, planning,
instruction, and assessment according to the needs of students.
- Commitment to the ideals of
public education as well as the mission, vision, and guiding principles of
the South East Cornerstone Public School Division.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary and benefits are in accordance with the currently negotiated Provincial
Collective Bargaining Agreement and Locally Negotiated Teacher Agreement.
