South East Cornerstone Public School Division is seeking the position of a temporary Speech and Language Pathologist. Reporting to the Coordinator of Learning Supports this position will be responsible for providing services for Oxbow Prairie Horizons, Hillcrest and Spruce Ridge Schools.

This position is a temporary full-time position with duties commencing August 25, 2026
End Date: June 30, 2027
Duties:
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Determine the assessment procedure which will provide the appropriate diagnosis of a communication disorder, subsequently, participate in the development of a suitable program plan
- Conduct screening and assessment procedures
- Provide early identification and intervention for children with communication difficulties
- Interpret assessments of speech and language
- Make decisions regarding changes in student status, discharge, therapy, rest and review
- Provide home and/or school programming
- Communicate with parents, administrators, learning support teachers and classroom teachers in post-assessment conferences as required regarding assessment results and recommendations for communication programming
- Participate in IIP and school based team meetings as required
- Assist with communication goals for PPP's and work directly with students to implement goals
- Model intervention techniques within the classroom setting
- Provide a written report to parents and school division personnel for each student assessed as required
- Provide information and/or consultation services to parents regarding their child's communication needs
- Consult with inter-professional collaborative team and/or school based personnel to provide appropriate follow up
- Provide referrals and recommendations to outside agencies and inter-professional collaborative team as needed
- Provide workshops and in-service in the areas of expertise to teachers, educational assistants and others when required
- Work collaboratively with inter-professional collaborative team to provide comprehensive services to students
- Provide lessons in Pre-K, Kindergarten and Gr.1 classrooms
- Submit reports to the Early Learning Coordinator and provide documentation and reports as required
Required Education, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized post-secondary institution
- Licensed by the Saskatchewan Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists
- Maintain membership in the Saskatchewan Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists
- Possess a current and valid Driver's License
