Temporary Part-Time Caretaker @ Midale Central School (SEIU-West)

Temporary

Hours of Work:
Equivalent to 3 hours per day, 15 hours per week. ***Please note: The successful applicant will be required to work 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Duties:
Duties are outlined in the attached job description.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Grade 10 education (Grade 12 or equivalent is preferred)
• Valid Fireman's Certificate is an asset but not required
• Valid Driver's License
• Direct experience in the caretaking field would be considered an asset
• Demonstrated understanding of cleaning procedures, cleaning processes, products and equipment is preferred
• General mechanical/plumbing knowledge and aptitude
• Must have the ability to operate tractors, mowers, and equipment efficiently and safely
• Knowledge of computers and applicable software
• Knowledge of the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
• Commitment to the ideals of public education as well as the mission, vision and guiding principles of the South East Cornerstone School Division

Salary & Benefits:
Salary and benefits are in accordance with the currently negotiated SEIU-West Collective Agreement as listed on our website www.secpsd.ca. The starting wage for this position is currently $22.70/hour along with a full benefit package and an employer defined pension plan.
